Hello to all of our Friends & Family...
We have begun our journey to find our “Little Princess” from China. We were getting tired of saying ‘her’, ‘she’ and ‘baby’, so we’ve decided on ‘her’ name: Alicyn Shea (insert Chinese name here) James. We know that she is out there somewhere. We have completed all of our paper work and all of our papers are in China as of 10/4/06. We have our log in date (LID) of 10/24/06. We are now in the long waiting period. The current wait is at 30+months. The wait keeps going up every month. So as for now, we are really not to sure when we will get out referral.
Many people have asked how did we come up with Ali Shea’s name. Well, we chose Alicyn to honor Dean’s Grandma Alice Knight. She has always been supportive of Dean and welcomed Cyndi from the day they met. Alicyn is a variation of Alice. It means Noble and Truthful, which we’re sure she’ll be. As for the spelling, we chose it that way because it has “Cyn” in it. We wanted her to also have part of Cyndi’s name. Also it is different.
We chose Shea because we like the way it sounded with Alicyn...Oh and by the way it also means ‘Fairy Palace’...go figure. In case you didn’t know, Cyndi is Crazy about fairies.
