February 04, 2009
OK...this is a little late in posting. Here is the gift we got Ali Shea for our 27 Month LIDversary. We decided to get her a couple of records. I don't know if you remember, but we got a record player for Christmas. I really love Disney records. We will also be getting her something special at Disneyland for this LIDversary and the next one.

Super Bowl and Beer Rocks Baking...
February 01, 2009
Today is Super Bowl Sunday. There has been a long tradition with my family that we would have a Super Bowl party. Well, that stopped long ago when my brother left for College. Now, I just like watching the Super Bowl. Husband is not much a football fan. So, I have learned to TiVo it. I really like the commercials and half time. Well, I spent this afternoon with my mom making Beer Rocks. They are our special Super Bowl meal. They are really good. It is a biscuit rolled out and then you stuff it with this mixture of cabbage, hamburger, chirreso(not sure of the spelling)(mexican saugage), red onion and salsa. You steam the cabbage and then added it to the meat mixture with the salsa. Then you stuff the rolled out biscuit with a spoonful of the mixture and bake it at 350 degrees for 13 minutes. They are really good. I have no clue on why they are called beer rocks. There is no beer in them. I guess you could put it in if you would like. They make like little pockets. They are a really good snack food, too. Well, we made about 40 of them. It was a nice day with my mom. If anyone wants the receipe, just leave me a message in the comments or send me an email with your email address and I would be glad to send it to you. They are really good. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with our website lately. There really hasn't been much going on here. We did go and get our taxes done last Tuesday. That was fun. I guess we are getting an IOU from the State. That sucks. At least it wasn't a big check. I guess they have up to a year to pay us back. What really sucks is if you had to pay, you couldn't send them an IOU. That's California for you. Othere then that, there really isn't much going on. I am currently counting down til' our trip to Disneyland. We have 11 days!! I can't wait. We leave on 2/12 and we will be home on 2/16. It is going to be so much fun!!

January 24, 2009
Today we are celebrating (at least trying to) our 27 month LIDversary. This wait has been very long and it seems to be getting longer. We are going to go to the movies today and see Inkheart. I have been wanting to see this. I have the book, but haven't read it yet. We are going to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate Ali Shea and then get her a little something. Ali Shea...Mommy and Daddy are still waiting for you!! We love you very much! We can't wait until we are a Forever Family!
Our 44th President...Barack Obama
January 20, 2009
Today was a very special day. It was the inauguration of our 44th President, Barack Obama. My mom and I watched it on TV. His speech was great. This was a historic moment, a turning point in our history. He is our first African American President. Dean was at work today while mom and I went to go and get my hair cut and colored. I went for a new color today...black with dark green and purple. I will take a picture later of new hair color.
