  November 21, 2007

Today we had our weekly weigh in at WW.  I have to tell you that this past week was a rough week of eating.  Well, I went anyways and weighed in.  I LOST 1.2 lbs.  YES...I LOST weight!!!  What a great way to start our Thanksgiving.  Now tomorrow I am going to eat EVERYTHING!!  I love Thanksgiving.  I can't wait to have turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, bread, pie, etc....

I would like to say a special Happy 1 yr LIDversary to Julie & John.  Please go buy their website and wish them a Happy LIDversary.

It's Been A While...

Hello...It has been all most a full week since I have written on our website.  So, let's see what has happened this past week.

Sunday...Dean and I went and check out a baby store in Folsom (which is about 1/2 hr from us).  It is called Starlight Starbright.  It is a cute little store, but VERY expensive.  I wanted to go and see this diaper bag that I want, in person.  It is so me.  Here it is.  What do you think.  I just fell in love with it.  It is not only a messenger bag, but it converts to a backpack and also comes with the stroller straps.  It is perfect, but it is also expensive.  I told Dean I want it for Christmas.  I guess we will see.  We did a little shopping after that.  It was a long day for us.

Monday...It was Veteran's Day holiday.  Husband stayed home with me and helped clean for Thursday.  We are having our home study update with the social worker.  So, it was a cleaning day.  Let's just say our house is spotless.

Tuesday...Hair cut/color day.  I know it has only been 2 weeks, but if I didn't get it done now then I would have to wait 5 weeks.  That is very hard for a person who gets their hair cut/color every 3 weeks.  So, it was more a root touch up and trim.  I was going to look good for the new social worker on Thursday. :)

Wednesday....WW and our weekly weigh in.  I know I haven't written about my weekly weigh ins in awhile, but let's just say they weren't going so good.  This week went fine because I did, finally, loose 1 lb.  YES, I said 1 lb.  It is way better then gaining.  I also received a box with some goodies in it from Julie.  She sent me a cute fairy, that I will call Julie, and a Chinese food cook book.  For Alicyn Shea, she sent her the cutest frog bib/bowl/cup/spoon set.  I love everything she sent us.  Thank you so much, Julie.  You are a wonderful friend.

Thursday...This was a BIG day.  We had our home study update with our new social worker.  Did I say, that this was with a NEW social worker.  I was very nervous about this, but everything went fine.  She stayed for an hour.  It was just a little frustrating knowing we might have to do this again.  I feel like I am being judged.  I know they are on our side, but sometimes it really doesn't feel like it.  So, we should get the update rough draft sometime next week.  I know we are doing this early, but with the holidays, I just really wanted it done and over with.  We won't need to send in our I-600A form until the beginning of March of next year.  The home study update need to go with this form.  We are all done and ready.

Friday...That's today.  Well, mom and I went and did some grocery shopping.  It really was an uneventful day.  We went out this morning and just spent some time together.  Husband and I watched Shrek 3.  I liked it, but I like all the Shrek movies.  Tomorrow we have a big day planned.  We have to go and pick up the pooches Santa pictures, then we are going to an Adoption Day celebration at our courthouse in Auburn.  We have no idea of what they are doing, but we are going to go and check it out anyways.  After that we are going to the Mandarin Festival at our fair grounds.  We have never gone before.  It sounds like it is going to be fun.  I will update our website sometime this weekend.  We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

JULIE:  Have fun on Saturday.  PARTY!!!  I can't wait to hear all about it.  Please take some pictures.

Busy Saturday...

  November 10, 2007

click to enlarge WOW...Today we had a busy day.  Husband had a golf tournament that Carrier (his work) puts on once a year.  He was really excited about going to this today.  We went last night and we each got a pair of new shoes.  He couldn't wait to wear them today.  His "Lazy Shoes".  They are slip on shoes.  He had a fun time.  The only down fall was, it rained.  So, needless to say, he came home wet.  Also today, mom and I went to a few Christmas Craft fairs.  We both got a couple of things.  Ok..Ok..I bought more.  I found a cute blanket, like I need another blanket, for Ali Shea.  It is really soft and the colors match her room.  I also bought a changing pad that someone made and the fabric is ladybugs.  Had to have it.  I bought Ali Shea and I each a sign that says BELIEVE.  I got one that is pink so it will go in her room.  I also got a couple of things for JULIE!!  Yes, I said Julie.  I will be sending them in the package that I am going to send for their 1 yr LIDversary that is coming up.  We had a great time.  This evening we also had our friends, Sean,Serena, George & Mady over for dinner.  I made spaghetti and we also had salad.  We watched a movie after dinner.  It was a very nice evening.  We always look forward to dinners with their family.  We try to do it at least once a month.  It depends on how busy everyone is.  See, I told you it was a busy day.  Now I have lots of dishes to do in the morning.  I hope everyone else is also have a wonderful weekend.  Here is a picture of Husband in his golf attire.  So, what do you think?  Any comments on his attire? or Fez?  Yes, that is MY HUSBAND....Isn't he just the cutest???
