Our Big Celebration...

We just got home for our big celebration! Tonight for our 1 yr LIDversary we (my mom, Dean and I) went to dinner at P.F. Chang's. Wow..was it wonderful! We had a great dinner. We did manage to take a couple of pictures of us and our waiter. Our waiter was Nick. He was a really nice guy. We told him what we were celebrating and he was really happy for us. After he took our picture, the lady and her son at the table next to us came over to talk to us about our adoption. She and her husband 10 yrs ago adopted their son domestically. He was so cute and funny. She also was telling us about her friend that also adopted from China. It was really nice to have someone come up to us and want to ask about our journey. It made me feel really good to talk about it. After dinner we went to my favorite store, Target, and bought Alicyn Shea...are you ready...we got her an Inch Worm. I had one of these, ok..a few of them growing up. I loved my inch worm and I can't wait for Ali to be able to ride hers. I will put a folder up with our LIDversary pics. There isn't a lot, but I did manage a few. This turned out to be a GREAT evening. Husband bought me an orchid and dragonfly ballon with a sweet card. I got Husband a little stuffed panda with a card. We would like to thank Corinne and her family again for the gift card for P.F. Chang's. It came in handy tonight. Thank you so much!! We hope that all of you that are having there 1 yr LIDversaries coming up do something to celebrate. This is a milestone in our long journey. Go out and do something for yourselves and your little one to be.
Weekly Weigh In...

Today mom and I had our weekly weigh in at WW. I was determined today that nothing was going to spoil this day, even WW. Well, let's just say...It DIDN'T spoil it at all. Things went GREAT for both mom and I. We both LOST!!! I lost...are you ready...here goes..3.6 lbs!! WOW! This brings my grand total of weight loss to 45.6 lbs for 38 weeks. Know I have had some ups and downs for the past few weeks. Today went really good for me. My mom also lost...she lost 3.4 lbs. She is doing so good. She has lost over 55 lbs. Also today at WW, I got to tell everyone in our group about our LIDversary and what it means. They are a very supportive group and they were very happy for Dean and I. They can't wait to meet Alicyn Shea, just like we can't. I was a wonderful day at WW today.
12 Months....WOW!!!

Can you believe it...We have made it through 12 months, 1 yr, of being logged in with China!!! Wow!! What a milestone. I know we still have a long wait, but I am very excited to have made it this far. Last year at this time, I thought we would never make it. It felt like it would take forever. Don't get me wrong, it has felt like forever, but I do know that at the end of this long wait a beautiful little girl will be waiting for us. Ali Shea...Mommy and Daddy are in this for the long haul. We will wait as long as it take for you to be in our arms. We have loved you since the first day we started this long process. The love has grown so big in our hearts, that at times it feels like we are going to explode. We love you so much, baby girl. We will be seeing/meeting you soon...Mommy & Daddy.
Today for our 1 yr LIDversary we will be going out to dinner at P.F. Chang's with my mom. After dinner we will be going and getting something special for Ali Shea. This morning though, I have WW to get through. Wish me luck. Last week wasn't so good, hopefully this week will be better. We hope that everyone has a great day!!
LIDversary Gift....

Today we received an LIDversary gift from the LIDversary Exchange I signed up for with the November DTC Group. We received a gift card for P.F. Chang's from Corinne, Joe & Maggie Beth Chausse from Monroe, NC. Here is a picture of our gift card. This is where we are going to dinner tomorrow for our LIDversary. My mom is taking Dean and I out to dinner. This was a GREAT exchange. Tomorrow we will be celebrating our 1 yr LIDversary. We would like to personally thank the Chausse Family for this wonderful gift. It was very thoughtful of you to send us this gift card before our LIDversary. This will defiantly help with the celebration. Thank you so much. Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day.
Our 1st 1 yr LIDversary Gift...

Today we also received our 1st 1 yr LIDversary gift. It was this beautiful book from Julie & John Cochrane from Hampton, NH. I can't believe that it has already been a year since we have been logged in with China. On Wednesday it will be exactly 1 yr. That is our LIDverary date. It was really nice of them to send us this wonderful gift. We love it!! I do have to say with this long journey we have met very nice people. I feel like with Julie this is a long lasting friendship. I am so glad that we have met. I really wish we could meet in person. Some day, I hope!! Thank you so much for this lovely book and inspiring card. You both are great friends. You have really made our LIDversary very special. Thanks again. Now the count down starts...2 more days left. We have decided what we are going to do on Wednesday. My mom has asked to take us out to dinner. We will be going to P.F. Chang's and afterwords we will be going to by Alicyn Shea a special gift. I just found out that on Friday, Dean's parents are also taking us out to dinner. So, we get to celebrate twice. What a great week. Now let's hope that Weight Watchers goes good. A loss this week would be nice, but if not, that is ok, too. :) Wish me luck on Wednesday.
