Ordered Keepsake CD...

  November 06, 2007

We did it!!!  We ordered our 1st keepsake CD of our website.  It was that time.  We should be getting it in a couple of weeks.  I also found out that I will receive a free CD every year we keep the website.  We signed up to keep our domain name for another 2 yrs.  So, that means 2 more CD.  Please keep signing the guest book.   Ali Shea...This is for you, little girl.  We hope you will enjoy checking back and seeing what Mommy and Daddy did while we were waiting for you.

Home Study Update...

  November 06, 2007

It is that time of year....We need to do our home study update.  We have an appointment next Thursday, Nov. 15 for either 3 or 3:30 pm.  Our new social worker will give us a call next week and let us know the exact time.  This is not a fun process to do.  We had lots of paper work to do again like Dr. check up, finance update, misc. paper work, oh yeah, even the 3 references again.  Later we need to do our I-600 A and finger prints again.  That won't be up until March of next year.  Things to look forward to.  This time around we get a new social worker: Sally (I don't remember her last name).  I hope she is nice and everything goes well.  I will post about it next week.

Tomorrow I have WW.  Wish me luck.  It has not been going so good for me with the weigh ins lately.  I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be another gain.  We will see what happens.  I know I am only human.  Good thing is that I have already lost 45 lbs with minor gains in between.  I still that that is very good.

Past Few Days....

  November 04, 2007

It has been a few days since I have updated our website.  Lots of stuff has happened.  Let's start with Thursday.

Thursday....I had a lunch date with Stephanie.  She invited me to her house for lunch.  We had a great time.  I loved looking at her art and baby Zoey's room.  I stayed for a few hrs.  I wanted to personally thank Stephanie for inviting me over for lunch.  I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to do something again.  We need to get together with the Husbands.  We should do dinner and then bowling or something.  Thank you so much for the Quilt kit.  I can't wait to start it.  I am going to buy all the stuff I need to make the squares and I will ask Jo Ann (MIL) to put the quilt together.  So, I will be part of making it, too.  I am looking forward to doing it.  Thank you so much.  Please go to Stephanie's Adoption art website and buy some Christmas ornaments or cards or even some art.  She is very talented.  I highly recommend it!!  Here is the link to her website: Jiinkinkids

Friday....I think it was uneventful.  I really don't remember what I did.  I do know that in the evening Husband and I gave the pooches baths, so they were clean for their pictures with Santa on Saturday.

Saturday...Wow...what a day we had.  We got up early and we went to the Hallmark open house to get a few ornaments.  They had this ornament that I really wanted.  It is a little Chinese girl with her house.  It is really cute.  This will be Alicyn Shea's.  We also got one that is a Chinese take out box with a fortune cookie.  I also got an exclusive one with 2 penguins and a snowman.  They are all really cute.  Plus, I got a free one that was a snowman.  I gave that one to mom.  She LOVES snowmen!!  After that we went and picked up the pooches and took them to get their pictures taken with Santa.  This was called Santa Paws put on by AAARF.  We have done this every year for 5 yrs.  This is Daisy 2nd time.  She had a very hard time waiting in line.  She doesn't seem to like being around other dogs.  She made it through just fine.  Know for me, I thought I was going to have a nervous brake down.  I can't wait to see the pictures.  I will post them as soon as I get them.  We do this every year, so I can put them in our Christmas cards.  I can't wait until we are able to do this with the pooches and Alicyn Shea.  After we did the pictures, we took the pooches home and went right back out to do some shopping.  It was a very long day, but we got lots of stuff done.

Sunday...CLEANING day!!  We did house cleaning.  I also put away all my Halloween stuff and brought out some of my Christmas Boyd's Bears.   I think for the rest of the evening we are just going to relax.  It has been a very long day, with the time change.  Something to get use to.

We hope that everyone had a GREAT weekend.

Daisy in her Halloween Costume...

Here is a picture of Daisy in her Halloween costume.  She was a LADYBUG!!  We called it her ladybug coat.  She loves having it on.  Isn't she the cutest ladybug.  We hope that everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.  Ours was pretty much uneventful.  We had a total of 7 trick or treaters.  That is actually a record for us.  The last 4 kids were older and I gave them all the candy we had.  I didn't want any leftover.  I still love Halloween even though we don't get a lot of kids coming around.
