Has anyone heard of the Spiderwick Chronicles book series??? Well, it is a series of 5 little books geared toward 8 yr olds and it is about fairies and other mythical creatures. Well, it is coming out to the movies in Feburary of 08'. I can't wait. It is really my speed. I love kids books like these. Well, a traveling bus came to Sacramento called the Spiderwick Chronicles experience. There we were able to see the trailer and do a few other kinds of things. One of them being...turning you picture into either a Sprite (fairy) or a Brownie. I did the Sprite, of course and Husband did the Brownie. Here is the picture of me as a Sprite. It is very funny looking. I wish I would have taken my glasses off. It might have looked better.
Secret Buddy Reveled...

We got our Secret Buddy gift for Nov. This months theme was Travel Essentials. This is also the last month of the Secret Buddy Exchange. We had a choice to reveal ourselves if we weren't doing it any more or to still keep it a secret so it can still go on. I opt not to reveal who we our to our secret buddy, but our buddy reveled herself to us. Our buddy is Deborah Steinberg from Carson City, NV. She is not that far from us. Her and her daughter, Celina sent us the cutest things. This month was no exception. They sent Ali Shea the cutest pink footy PJ's with a little white bear on it, an all in one nap mat with cozy blanket and pillow, they also sent us the Hallmark Christmas ornament with the little Chinese girl and house, a neck support for Ali Shea for on the way home from China and some packing backs for us. We LOVE everything they sent us. We are sorry to hear that they aren't going to be doing the exchange anymore. We understand. You have been a wonderful Secret Buddy to us. I really hope you stay in touch. You don't live that far from us. Maybe after the winter we can get together. I know Dean and I are always up for a little trip. We have never been to Carson City together. You know if you are ever down the mountain, you are always welcome to come to our house. We would love that very much. We hope that you and Celina have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Another LIDversary...13 Months!!

Can you believe what I let pass by us...our 13 months LIDversary. Saturday was the 24th, that marked 13 months. What was I thinking. We have been so busy this weekend that we forgot. Well, I guess we have to let this one slide. I think on Thursday, payday, I will go and get a little something for Alicyn Shea.
Ali Shea...We are still trucking a long. Waiting as patiently as possible for you to be home with us. We love you so much. You are so real to us that it hurts. We are coming up to another holiday that you won't be with us. Daddy and I have put your special Christmas ornaments in the front of the tree. I can't wait for the day that you can pick out the tree and help put the ornaments on. We love you, little princess!
Our Christmas Tree...

On Friday we went and picked our Christmas Tree. We went to our favorite tree farm. We picked out the most beautiful and perfect tree. This year we took mom with us. We weren't there that long, like normal. We have a habit of picking our tree out very quickly. This year was no exception. We found the tree, took our pictures with the tree and Husband cut the tree down. We came home and put the tree up. Later that evening we decorated it. Here is a picture of our beautiful tree all decorated. Also on Friday, mom and I went and did a little bit of shopping. I bought the cutest 2 ft tree with a little tree skirt. I wanted a little tree to put my little ornaments on. I decorated the little tree while Husband tackled the big tree. They both turned out very cute. We hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and shopping weekend.
