14 Month LIDversary....
December 24, 2007
Today we celebrate our 14 month LIDversary! What a special day this is. It is not only that we have been logged in with China for 14 months, but it is also Christmas Eve!!! We have a fun day planed. We are taking mom and going to Nevada City for some shopping a lunch. Then this evening, we will be taking mom and do our traditional Christmas light seeing tour. It starts with the luminary show right by us. There is this neighborhood of houses that put luminaries out and you drive thru with your car lights off and check out all their Christmas lights. It is really fun. Then we finish when looking at more house lights in town and finish with a Starbucks mocha. It is a fun evening. It is just more special today in that we will also be celebrating Alicyn Shea. With us being out of the Review Room, it makes it even more special.
Ali Shea...Mommy and Daddy love you very much and can't wait until the time you are home with us. Also, to spend our 1st Christmas together. You can see all the Christmas lights. I can't wait to see the look on your face. You, little one, are so loved. You are so special to us. We love you very much! Merry Christmas.
Weekend Recap...
December 24, 2007
We have had a busy weekend. I love this time of the year. Here is a recap of what we have done the past few days.
Friday...We went to our friend, Sarah's house and visited for a while. It was a nice day. Husband ended up coming home earlier from work because the night before he had an on call call that he had to take and didn't get home until 11:30 pm. It was a long day for husband.
Saturday...We had to go and pick up or ham form the Honey Baked Ham store. We also did our grocery shopping. We didn't get home until around 4 pm. It was a long afternoon. Then in the evening we went Christmas light seeing. We went to a new place. This block of house everyone decorates. We went with Sarah and parked the car and walked the block. It was very cold, but really fun. A lot of the houses had a Disney theme. LOVED IT!
Sunday...We had some delivering to do. In the evening, we also went back to the same block to see the Christmas lights again. This time I took our camera. We took lots of pictures. I will post as soon as I can figure out how to make it a slide show. Husband and I had a nice evening of light seeing.
Today...Today we celebrate not on Christmas Eve, but also our 14 month LIDversary. Mom, Husband and I are going to Nevada City to do some shopping and have lunch. Mom and I usually spend the day together to celebrate Christmas Eve. We thought that it would be fun that we all did something together. Can you believe that we have been logged in with China for 14 months. Wow! I love Christmas Eve. Growing up we use to open 1 gift in the evening before we went to midnight mass. We don't do that now. Who knows, Husband has been asking to open gifts early. I won't agree to that, but maybe one gift.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! We hope you all have a wonderful day.
