Our New Family Member!!
January 28, 2008
We would like to introduce you to our new family member...our new Apple iMac. It has a HUGE 24" screen and the computer is all in one. It is BEAUTIFUL!! We haven't been able to update our website for a couple of days due to trying to get use to it and also had to figure out how I can use my website. It works now!! I have a couple of extra steps to do, but it works just fine. I do have to say that we LOVE IT!! We have been in front of this computer quite a bit the past couple of days. I also know that our friends Stephanie and Drew also bought a new iBook (laptop) this weekend. Apple got quite a lot of business from us. It is so clear and very easy to use. We will be taking some one on one classes at Apple. I can't wait to start them. So much I want to learn how to use. I can't wait to start using the photo program. It is kind of intimidating right now. I am still getting use to using the internet.

Ouch!! Husband's Broken Fingers...
January 24, 2008
It has been a very interesting week to say the least. Monday started out just fine. Other then the weather(cold and rainy) it was pretty much uneventful. Tuesday...well that is another story. Husband called me in the morning to tell me he was on his way to Modesto to work. That is a few hours from us. He wasn't to happy. It was a very cold and rainy day and he really didn't want to go there. The day at home was pretty much normal. Kids(pooches) and I doing much of nothing. Husband called me again around 2 pm to say that he was on his way home. He proceeds to tell me that he has something to say, but for me not to worry. WHAT?? Me not worry. How can I not after you say that. Well, he tells me that he has had an accident and that he was on his way to a medical clinic by his work. OK..What kind of accident?? He tells me that while putting a metal panel back on a unit..OK..Maybe I should tell you that Husband works for Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning. He works on commercial buildings. Ok..back to my story..well, while he was holding the panel with one hand, it slipped and hit the nails of his middle and ring finger. Metal to metal, with his fingers in between. WTF!! He said that he thought at the time they were just really bruised. They we very swollen and he was going to get them looked at. Well, he also tells me that it hurt so bad that he almost passed out. OK?? I can't get to him to help him. It is a few hours from us. There was nothing for me to do except wait to find out how his fingers are. He called me around 4:30ish to tell me that he made it to the clinic. Well, he finds out that he has BROKEN his 2 fingers. So much for just bruises!! Not a good thing. He is still able to work. My Husband has a very high tolerance to pain. He is only taking 800 mg of Motrin every 8 hrs. Husband has had a few big accidents in the 12 yrs he as worked in this business. I have been with him at the emergency room for all of them. This was the first time I wasn't able to be there. I had a hard time with that. Well, now that I have written a novel, I will end this with a picture of his fingers. This is from yesterday. They are looking much better. If only you could have seen them on Tuesday. They looked very black with a hint of blueish purple and very big. So, it has been a very interesting past couple of days. He went back to the clinic this morning and they said that his fingers were doing just fine. They wanted to give him some pain meds, but my Husband said no. He said he could handle it. He has another follow up on Monday.
15 Months and Still Waiting!!
January 24, 2008
Today we are celebrating our 15 month LIDversary!! We have been logged in with China for 15 months now. WOW...Can you believe it?? When we started back in May 06' we were told that it would be 10 to 12 months. We would have had Alicyn Shea by now. Well, it didn't work out like that. Our current wait is at 26 months, I think? Who really knows. Our agency really doesn't say anything. I rely on others websites/blogs and message boards. So, for today I have a busy day planned. I am going to the movies today with Sarah and my mom. We are going to see 27 Dresses. That will be fun. Then this evening, Husband and I are going out to dinner to celebrate Ali Shea and go and buy her a little something. It is going to be a nice day.
Alicyn Shea...Mommy and Daddy are still waiting for you as patiently as we can. We are very eager to have you home with us. We love you very much. We will wait how ever long it takes. Hugs...Love...Kisses!!
