Fun Night...

So..I said in my previous post that we had something fun planned for Sunday night. We did. We went to Stephanie and Drew's for dinner. We had such a great time. Not only did we have an awesome dinner, but we also got to see her latest creations, the dolls. They are so cute!! I so want one! Go check them out if you haven't seen them, yet. She and her friend, Shani, have hand made all the dolls and quilts. They all come with adoption certificates and wishes. They are really cute. We had so much fun. We chatted, ate, played games and chatted some more. Husband and I didn't leave until after 10pm. Sorry, guys. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Stephanie and Drew. We can't wait to do something again. Great company and great food!!
Feeling Better and Stuff...

I have to say that I am feeling so much better. Mom and I went shopping yesterday and had a fun time. We haven't done that in a long time. My neck, back and shoulders are feeling better. I did finally get in touch with my Dr and was able to take the Motrin. WONDERFUL stuff!! I has really helped. Husband and I went to talk to a travel agent at AAA to look into a long vacation for us. We really would like to take a week vacation some where we haven't been. First we were thinking about Hawaii. We wanted to do a cruise between the Islands. We have never been and we thought that would be the best way to see everything in a week. Well, they aren't doing cruises right now in Hawaii. It has something to do with the ships. They won't be back up until August. We would like to take our vacation in May. So, that's not going to work. We are also looking into Disney World. Still not sure on that one. Kind of pricey. Maybe a Caribbean cruise. Or maybe go back East and rent a car and drive to Salem, Mass., Main, New York (to see my brother), oh yea, I can't forget New Hampshire to see Julie. :) We still aren't too sure. Any suggestions??? We need to do something.
On another note...remember last Friday I sent our update off to USCIS. Well, first we had a problem with FedEx. I overnighted our papers and they weren't delivered until Tuesday. Big hoopla. We are suppose to be credited for that. They still haven't done that, so now I need to get in touch with them again. Well, our papers DID arrive there safe. So, today we go out and do our thing and come home this afternoon. I check our mail in front. (we usually don't get mail to our house address.) In our mail box there was our fingerprint approval letters and guess what the date and time was. TODAY, MARCH 1 at 11:30 and 11:45 am. WE MISSED IT!! Here is the kicker. The letters were dated: February 28. THURSDAY and we received it on Saturday. Come on!! 1 day notice. That doesn't work. So, I have to call them on Monday and find out when we can go in. There is a note on it that says, if you can't make it, then any Wednesday after the date you can come in. So, I guess we will be going on Wednesday. We could have had it all done today. That was our day. I hope you all had a great day. Tomorrow is going to be a really fun evening for us. I will post about it in the evening after we get home.

Not a Good Day..

Today has not been a great day for me. Let's start with WW. Mom and I had our weekly weigh in. This is our third week and second weigh in. Well, it didn't go so good. I have gained, yes, gained 2.6 lbs. Not to good. But, I do know everyday is a new day and I am working on it. The weather is changing and we are starting to walk and I have to work on my eating portions again. I CAN DO THIS!! I have support of my family and friends. It just didn't go over to good when the lady that does the weigh ins and meeting says to me, "What did you learn?" PLEASE, I learned that I need to watch my portions, start walking and make better choices. I know this, I don't think that I need to tell you that. That was what I wanted to say. It just really caught me off guard. Now this brings me to the other reason of my not to good day, I am also dealing with back, neck and shoulder PAIN!! I went to the Chiropractor yesterday to get "cracked" and usually that is all I need and everything feels better. Well..it didn't work like that this time. I am in PAIN!! I go back on Monday and I have to make it through this weekend with this awful pain. See, I am on an new antidepressant and it says that you have to talk to your Dr about taking Motrin. Well, I did finally get a hold of my Dr this afternoon and I am able to take the Motrin, so things should start getting better, if not, more tolerable. I do have to say that it is working. I still have problems looking to the right, but I can now handle the pain. So, see, it has not been a good day for me!! Things should get better tomorrow. Mom and I are going to the mall to go walking a do a little bit of shopping. Also, it the weekend and Dean is off Call!! I hope everyone has a great weekend.
I-600A Sent

On Friday I sent our I-600A update out. It is that time to get our papers renewed. We did our home study update back in November and received it in December. I have been waiting to send it out closer to the 90 days. Our papers expire in March. I wanted it to be as close to that as possible. Now we wait to get our appointment to have our fingerprints done again. This year we were able to get the free extension. We hope and pray that we only have to do this one time. How it looks with the wait, we just might have to do it again. 
Our GRAND PRIZE!!

Way back in the beginning of January, Dannye was having a give away for the Year of the Rat. All you had to do was give her your information and you were entered into her give away. Well, on January 27 we found out that we won the GRAND PRIZE. Here it is. Isn't it the cutest. I did receive it earlier this months, but we were in the transition of our new computer and I forgot to post about it. Better late then never! Thank you so much Dannye for putting on this give away. We love what we won!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
