We Are HOME!!!

  May 16, 2008

click to enlarge We have made it back home just fine.  What a vacation we have had!!  So much to talk about and LOTS & LOTS of pictures to show.  I had the BEST Birthday, ever!!  Where to start.
Thursdays 5/8:  We left Sacramento on time.  Our plane left at 12:15 am.  I had a very hard time on the plane.  I tried really hard not to take the anxiety pills that I got from the Dr.  When I walked onto the plane, the anxieties kicked in really bad.  I ended up having to take it and I only remember little things.  I ended up falling asleep.  Husband stayed up the whole time.  We made it to Huston fine and made it to our next plane.  We arrived in Orlando around 11 am.  It was a little confusing, but we made it to our bus just fine.  The bus took us to our resort.  The hotel was HUGE!!  We stayed at the Coronado Springs Hotel.  It was like a maze getting to our room.  It took us about 15 min. to find our room.  We  were very tired, but also excited.  It also was very HUMID!!  Us Californians are not use to humidity.  We get dry heat.  The humidity took awhile to get use to.  OK..we really didn't really get use to it.  Well, we relaxed for a little while, then made it over to the Polynesian Hotel for our dinner reservations.  We have been wanting to see the Spirit of Aloha dinner show.   It was good and so was the food.  After there we went over to the Magic Kingdom.   UNREAL!!  I can't believe how big this park is.  It is so different then Disneyland.  When we made it into the park, it was amazing.  Cinderella's Castle was amazing!  I LOVED IT!!  We stayed there for a little while then went back and went to bed.  It was a long day.
Friday 5/9:  We started the day at Epcot.  WOW.  We didn't really get an early start.  That was hard to do in the beginning.  Also, the HUMIDITY.  Did I tell you that we HATE the humidity.  This was a very hot day.  Back to Epcot...We really liked it.  We started with Canada.  We watched the movie and took a couple of pictures.  I guess I should also say that we bought a passport and they stamp it in each country.  Then we went to UK.  We had the passport stamped and did a little shopping then when to France.  We didn't stay long to get the passport stamped.  We moved pretty quick through Morocco, Japan, US, and Italy and ate lunch in Germany.  After there we made it to China.  We LOVED CHINA!  When we got there, there was Mulan and Mushu there taking pictures.  So, of course I had to get in line and get our picture taken and I forgot to mention that we also bought an autograph book.  Yes, I am a child!!  I have never done this before and I thought you only live once.  So, we got our picture taken and autograph done.  Then we went into the pavilion.  Spectacular!!  We can't wait to go to China.  My emotions took over me.  When we were looking at the Terra Cotta Soldiers I started to cry.  I couldn't stop and it only got worse while we were watching the movie.  I can't wait to go to China and meet our little Alicyn Shea.  It was just a very emotional time for me.  I really enjoyed it.  After there we proceeded to back to the hotel to get ready for dinner at Tony's and also the Pirate and Princess Party.  That was really fun.  This was back at the Magic Kingdom.  We had to buy special tickets for this.  They close the park at 7pm and you have to have special wristband to get in to the party.  Lots of people and kids were dressed up.  Dinner was ok at Tony's.  Not my favorite dinner place.  After dinner we were able to get on to lots of rides with little wait.  There were also huge X's around the park where you would get your pirate booty.  That was fun.  We got lots of beaded necklaces and a bag with jewels.  LOTS of fun.  We saw Peter Pan and Wendy Darling.  I got my picture taken and also an autograph.  Big kid, remember! :)  We were able to ride lots of rides with hardly any wait.  We stayed until 1 am.  We saw the fire works and they were great.  We saw Tinkerbell.  LOVED IT!!  This was a very fun day.

I am going to have to sign off for now.  This story is to be continued....LOTS to say and I'm getting very tired.  I will write more tomorrow.  Please check out the rest later..

WDW Here We Come!!

  May 07, 2008

click to enlarge I can't believe today is the day that we leave for WDW.  It feels like it has been FOR EVER!!  We leave tonight at 12:15 am.  We have to be at the airport a couple hrs early.  I am so excited and scared at the same time.  We haven't been on an airplane since 98' and that was just to L.A.  It wasn't a long flight, but it still wasn't the best flight.  I know we will be OK, but I am still worried about my ears.  I have LOTS of gum to chew.  We arrive to Orlando at 11 am.  That means we have all day tomorrow to go to the parks.  I am not sure what park we are doing tomorrow.  I do know that we have 5:15 pm dinner reservations to see the Spirit of Aloha.  We really wanted to do this. We hope it doesn't rain.  Then on Friday we are doing the Pirate and Princess Party at the MK.  I am so excited about that.  That is going to be so much fun.  Then on Saturday we are meeting Dannye and Ray.  They are picking us up and we are going to Universal Studios and Adventure Island.  We really CAN'T wait to meet them and have a wonderful day.  Now that brings us to Sunday.  Sunday is not only Mother's Day, but it is also my BIRTHDAY!!!  I can't wait.  I LOVE my BIRTHDAY!!  We don't have the day planned, but we do have lunch and dinner reservations already.  We will be having lunch at the Liberty Tree and Dinner will be at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and Friends.  Yes, we are doing a character dinner for my birthday!  I can't wait to see Eeyore!!  Last time I saw Eeyore was at Disneyland for my 35th birthday and I cried.  Yes, I really did cry.  We have pictures.  Who knows I just might cry again.  It is very emotional for me when I see Eeyore.  He has been my favorite since I was little.  Hello...I have him tattooed on my right ankle.  :)  As for the rest of the week, we are just going to do whatever we want to.  We have until next Thursday.  We even get to go to the parks that day, too.  We have an 8 day hopper pass and our plane doesn't leave until 5 pm.  It is going to be a fun and very exciting week.  We won't be able to update our website because we don't have a laptop.  One day we will.  So, I will update with all our adventure when we come home.  Please stop by and leave a comment while we are gone.  I would love to have something to come home to.  :)
**I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to you all.  Even though we don't have our babies yet, we ARE still Mothers.  Please celebrate that day.  Wake up and put a smile on you face and enjoy the day.  We will be with our little ones someday.  Always remember that!!  OK...if you don't want to celebrate that, then go ahead and celebrate my birthday!!  You know I will be celebrating that day, both Mother's Day and my birthday!!
***DANNYE***We are almost there!  We can't wait to meet you, Ray and your mom.  I will call you in the evening on Thursday before we go to dinner.

Guess Who's 10?

  May 05, 2008

click to enlarge Guess who is 10 yrs old today?  Our little man, Bailey!!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BAILEY!!  Today is his birthday.  I can't believe that our little man is 10 yrs old.  He was the cutest little thing when we picked him up.  We adopted him from a local breeder.  He and his little brother were the only ones left.  At first I chose his brother because he was the runt.  I thought it was odd that the runt was still there.  When Husband went to get the money I figured out why.  The runt was a bitter!  He bit his mom and Bailey.  So, I chose Bailey.  He was so sweet.  He was a litter bigger then his brother.  He also had the cutest pucker mouth.  We adopted Bailey on the 4th of July.  He was a perfect fit with our family.  So, the rest is history.  Happy Birthday to our Little Man, Mommy's Shadow, our little Land Shark, Bubby.  (He is a dog of many names.)  We Love you so much!  You got to love your fur babies.  They are our children!!  Here is a picture I just took of Bailey with his birthday hat on.

My Party....

  May 04, 2008

click to enlarge Yesterday we had a party for my 37th Birthday.  We invited close friends and family. We had a BBQ and LOTS of food.   It was very fun and we had nice weather.   That morning my mom came over with a surprise.  She brought me a HUGE Tinkerbell balloon that sings.  It is really cute.  The cupcakes were a hit at the party.  Here is a picture of them in the cupcake holder that my Mother-in-law gave me.  I have always wanted one.  I also got a fairy , a movie gift card, an Origins gift card, Scrapbook gift card,  cupcake book with cupcake liners, my Mother-in-law made me a purple purse and gave me a book: Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse.  See, I got lots of goodies.  I have posted pictures in another folder.  It was a very fun party and I had a nice time talking to everyone.  Thanks to all our friends and family for everything.  You guys have made my birthday very special.  My real birthday isn't until next Sunday.  We will be at Walt Disney World for my birthday.  I usually have a very extend birthday.  May is my birthday month and we celebrate for at least 2 weeks.  I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY!!  Also, you can say that I am spoiled.  :)
