Disney World Adventure Days: 5/14 & 5/15

  May 18, 2008

click to enlarge Wednesday 5/14:  This day we finished things up.  We went back to Epcot to finish the countries and get my Passport stamped.  Then that evening we went to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and drop off my postcards.  We had an early evening.  Husband still wasn't feeling good.

Thursday 5/15:  Our last day.  We checked out early and went back to the Magic Kingdom to get Alicyn Shea her ears and do a few more rides before we left.  Our plane left at 5:50 pm.  We had to be back to the hotel to catch our bus by 2 pm.  It was hard saying goodbye to the park, but we were excited to go home.  Our plane rides went fine.  Our plane left late from Huston, which made us get to Sacramento very late.  I miss Disney World very much, but glad to be home.

I am very glad that you all wanted to hear about our WDW adventure.  We have come to the conclusion that WDW was wonderful, but Disneyland will always be our park!!  We can't wait to take Ali Shea there!!  As for all of our pictures, we are looking for some place to upload them.  We took over 300 pictures.  We also have the pictures from our photopass.  If you are interested in see the photopass pictures, please leave your email address in our comments or you can email me and I will send you a link to those.  There are about 30 pictures in the photopass.  Once I get all the pictures uploaded, I will post a link here.  We have lots of pictures and I can't wait to share them.

Disney World Adventure Days: 5/12 & 5/13

  May 18, 2008

click to enlarge Monday 5/12:  We went to Hollywood Studios.  We stayed there all day.  We at lunch at the Sci-fi Diner.  You sit in old cars and watch old "B" movie clips.  It is like an old drive in theater.  We had dinner reservations at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.  Later that evening we went back to Hollywood Studios for the extended hours and to watch Fantasmic.  It was really fun.

Tuesday 5/13:  We went back to the Animal Kingdom to do the Safari and finish what we didn't get to see.  Then we went to Epcot and to do TestTrack and a few more rides.  Then we went to dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Floridian.  This was a character dinner with Cinderella.  We also saw Prince Charming, the evil step sisters and the wicked step mother.   Yes, I did get my picture taken with all of them and autographs.  After dinner we went back to the hotel because Husband was very sick.  He start to get a sinus infection.  Least it came at the end of our vacation.

click to enlarge I am going to finish our Walt Disney World Adventure.  I will split up entries with 2 days per entry.  Lots to tell.  Please read them all.

Saturday 5/10:  Our day started early.  We met Dannye & Ray from LayDFrog.  They took us to Universal Studios.  Dannye's mom-Ellen came with us, too.  We went to breakfast then to the park.  We stayed there until about 2 pm, then Dannye and her mom take us back to our hotel.  Ray went home because he worked all night and then spent the day with us.  I don't know how he did it.  Dannye & her mom stayed for a little while.  We opened our gifts.  They got us a beautiful blanket for Alicyn Shea.  We love it!  We really enjoyed meeting them.  This was the highlight of our trip.  Later that evening we went to Downtown Disney and had dinner at Planet Hollywood.  When we came back to our room there was 3 balloons and a stuffed Eeyore on our bed.  This was for my birthday.  This was a great surprise from the hotel.
Sunday 5/11:  My 37th Birthday and Mother's Day!!!  We started our day with my birthday cards from my mom and Birthday cards and Mother's day cards from Husband and the pooches.  It was a great start to an amazing day.  We went to breakfast at the hotel quick service.  They sang Happy Birthday and also gave me a piece of cake.  Then we went to the Animal Kingdom.  We spent most of the day there then we made it over to the Magic Kingdom for our dinner reservation at the Crystal Palace.  We had dinner with Winnie the Pooh and friends.  Our table was decorated with Mickey confetti and streamers.  I got to meet Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger.  I did get all their autographs and pictures.  After dinner Husband surprised me with a birthday cake.  It had Mickey Mouse on it.  It was really cool.  I also got a card with all the signatures of Winnie the Pooh and friends.  It was a wonderful dinner.  After dinner we met up with Dannye and her family for a little bit.  It was great seeing them again.  Later that evening I got to make my own Birthday Mickey ears.  We also watched the fireworks show.  We weren't able to see Tinkerbell because it started to rain.  It didn't rain that long, but it was very warm.  We stayed until 1 am.  It was extended hours for the Disney Resorts.  On certain nights the parks stay open longer.
